Come On Over Tour – #ComeOnOver
Trade shows virtualised
Due to the many lockdowns and cancellations of events, we had to be innovative with the first virtual trade show for Euronics and Expert. While everyone else sat at home with their cameras on, the Aqipa Team used the Brixlegger Weinstuben (an absolutely fabulous restaurant by the way) to provide some music and surprise entertainment for the trade show visitors.
How did it go, you ask? Well, we definitely left our mark on visitors, but unfortunately, there weren’t overly many of them. Now, we’ve decided to do something different for this year’s fall season.
Trade shows delivered
September is usually the time to flock to IFA in Berlin to show the world how cool Aqipa is. In past years, the organisation has always pulled off a fantastic show that helped us impress brands and retailers alike.
With IFA cancelled again, this year will be different once more. What is the one thing all of us have learned from the pandemic? Anything – and we mean literally anything – can be delivered. And we are going to deliver our trade show to our customers.
For those about to rock, we salute you
That’s not just an AC/DC song, but also the saying of our new local partner Beat the Street from Fritzens, Tyrol. We have teamed up with Jörg, an entrepreneur who started out with an old ski bus and refurbished it into a tour bus. Today, his company is among the leading band and crew bussing businesses globally, with clients ranging from “A” as in AC/DC to “Z” as in ZZTop.
We’re going on tour with a Beat the Street bus and will be bringing our very own stars (= brands) to customers like MediaMarkt, Euronics, Expert, CoolBlue and Van den Borre in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland.
No tour without a gig
To deliver a proper concert experience, we have partnered with gigmit, a Berlin-based company operating internationally as THE tool for live music booking.
They get rid of all the stressful organisational factors for both venues and artists, discovering rising talents and creating memorable stages in the process.
Street food love
We chose to stay local for our drink- and food-serving needs as well. Enter Paul & Ernst Street Food Solutions. “We are the world’s leading brand for mobile gastronomy and POS solutions. Our product design is one-of-a-kind, of the highest quality and uniquely innovative,” their website reads.
Offering options for mobile cooking, beverages and ice cream, the business is booming. Their kitchens and bars aren’t just smartly and compactly built; they also have a visually stunning design. The bikes feature 270 cm of work surface, a 30-second setup and 100% customisability.
Thinking outside the “phox”
Phox, another local player we’ve partnered with, will supply cool, custom-branded seating and display options made entirely from recyclable materials. The “clever (s)tools” are completely effortless and easy to set up and disassemble and offer a new, fun and innovative way of taking a seat or presenting a product.
