The Sjöstrand story began with an espresso machine given as a Christmas present to a major coffee lover in winter 2011. The thought of producing unnecessary waste by using aluminum capsules every time you drink a cup of coffee didn’t sit quite right.
Realizing that there must be a way to come up with a more sustainable espresso concept motivated the person in question to change the coffee industry and create a company that would focus on both great taste and the environment. Through that, Sjöstrand was born and is now making its way into kitchens and coffee corners around the world.
A new concept built with Swedish design und durability
Sjöstrand changed the concept of capsule coffee from one of the worst environmental villains to a harmonious combination of Swedish design and sustainability. Their machines are produced with stainless steel for a long service life and their coffes are 100% organic, Fairtrade and climate-positive, packed in compostable capsules made of plant fibers.
On top of that, Sjöstrand climate-compensates through Vi-Agroforestry, an organization that plants trees and fights poverty. Espresso machine
The Sjöstrand Espresso Capsule Machine has a high-pressure pump at 19 bars, which, together with hot water at the right temperature, will ensure that all flavours and aromas of the coffee emerge in a perfect balance. If you use Sjöstrands compostable capsules filled with 100% organic coffee, you get an eco-friendly coffee concept.
Coffee Capsules
Sjöstrand launched its own coffee series of 5 delicious Arabica-bean-blends with a Nordic roast profile. The coffee is 100% organic, fair-trade-certified and climate-positive. The compostable coffee capsules are made with organic water and solar energy, and the capsules are made of plant fibers. The climate-positive stamp demonstrates that Sjöstrand offsets more carbon dioxide than it emits from bean to cup.
Milk Frother
